Future Vet Kids Camp is back !

Future Vet Kids Camp is a dynamic holiday programme designed to blend learning with fun and adventure, giving young animal lovers an inside look into the world of veterinary care. Created by Australia’s "Bondi Vet" veterinarians, Dr Audrey and Dr Alison Shen, the camp combines interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and specially curated behind-the-scenes field trips. Campers learn directly from industry professionals, gaining both practical skills and valuable knowledge about animal care. They also discover the wide range of career pathways in the animal and veterinary fields, understand what it takes to work with animals and their owners, and learn how to better prepare themselves for future studies in veterinary science.

Originally launched in Australia, this unique first-of-its-kind camp provides students (ages 8-18) with hands-on experience and insights into what it takes to become a veterinarian. Our program aims to showcase the wonderful world of veterinary care, promote responsible pet ownership, and encourage children to love and appreciate animals of all kinds

Our five-day program (day camp format) will feature:
Classroom-based learning: CPR for animals, blood draws, reading and interpreting diagnostics (X-rays, ultrasounds, blood panels), surgical suturing, catheter insertion, animal behaviour, animal nutrition and more.
Field trips & special access: Behind-the-scenes visits to the Wildlife Reserves, vet clinics and rehabilitation centres to observe medical procedures and animal care in action.
Guest speakers: Hear first-hand from industry professionals in the world of animal care, environmental conservation, and non-profit organisations
Career insights & prep: 15-18 age group will also have the opportunity to hear from the University of Sydney’s Vet School admissions officer about pathways into veterinary studies.
